This happened to be the case with one of the underdogs predicted last night (went from up 3-0 to losing 6-3). Had you used bet365 last night, you would of seen a very small return instead of a loss.

There are two main candidates for how the bet amounts are chosen.

One of these (the one we have been using so far) ends up putting much larger bets on predicted underdogs (is influenced more by the difference in IcePick’s predicted win chance and the sportsbook’s implied win chance).

The other option, is less influenced by win chances and has more balanced bets (not a huge difference in amount bet on a favorite vs underdog). Although in certain situations (like the previous 2 days) this would lead to less of a loss, in other situations it will limit your winnings.
